Just you and a facilitator with seventeen years of experience reading what the medicine is doing and adjusting in real time — the way the Acjachemen puul read each initiate’s fear by firelight and knew exactly how much was enough.

Privates are for people who know they need to go somewhere specific. A wound that needs direct attention. A question that won’t resolve in a group setting. A threshold that requires the full presence of a guide who isn’t dividing attention between six people.
