The I’m Really Busy Guided Journal
We hate toxic positivity. If you’re reading this, you likely hate it, too. And we don’t finish a lot of stuff. We have learned to let our imperfect and incomplete projects go out into the world. We have learned to let ourselves be incomplete and imperfect and go out into the world. You can, too.
Write in this journal on days you got the energy. Don’t freak out if you skip a day, a week, or months. We didn’t even finish putting in enough pages for 365 days, anyway. It’s all good.
So take this adorably pink journal with its shadowy insides and let’s manifest shit or…grow…or…you know…prove we can finish something.
How to do this journal:
1. Morning Page
Do what the page says and then get dressed, drink coffee, beg your dog to shit, and go to work.
2. Evening Page
Do what the page says and then doomscroll in bed for three hours before maybe falling asleep.
3. Monthly Tracker
In the back of this journal, you get a page of boxes for each month. Scribble “meh” or “too busy” if you skipped and draw a checkmark for each day you showed up. It’s not about perfection. it’s about proof you did something, even if it was just to write “meh” in a book.
That’s it. There are some (kinda) inspirational quotes littered all over the book. At the time of writing this page, there are plans to make some drawings, but, you know, we may not feel like it.
Other journals will be happy and full of gratitude and s***. That’s not this one. This journal is here to quietly, desperately witness your attempts and occasionally roast you for being human.
No matter what, know that you’re cool enough to get this book (even if you stole it, it’s still good taste). You’re cool. Let’s all do this cool thing for a year…or a week…maybe just once and then tear out the page you wrote on and gift it to a cousin at Christmas.
